Can not replace/upload torrent

Aloha hey!

I'm trying to update one of my torrents, so I'll need to upload a new .torrent file.
However I'm always presented with the message "Upload failed! The filename already exists!".
I guess that's since it's a multi-file torrent, the link in the error message takes me to the used foldername.

Is there a way you fix this bug? Or shall I first the delete (instead of replace) the previous version of the torrent from your website?

Just out of interest, what happens to a replaced torrent besides being redirected on the website?
I think it might be a good idea to send a PM to all registered users who are still seeding the old torrent, so they can take a look at whether they'd like to seed the new one as well.

Re: Can not replace/upload torrent

It seems the website is complaining about the internal name/folder used within the torrent, not the name of the .torrent file nor the torrent's name within the website.

I do not want to use another folder name just to circumvent this bug. There's not reason to use a different name for the torrent's root folder, just because this website's software is buggy.
I think I'll rather delete the old torrent first, then upload the new one. This might break a few links to the old torrent, since they won't be redirected, but apart from that it'd be fine.

*BUMP*
Still hoping for one of the developers to drop by and leave a note on this issue.

Also feature request; Allow editing of .torrent file as long as info_hash does not change. This'd allow to edit the .torrent's comment, url-list and such without the need to replace and re-seed all files.

Re: Can not replace/upload torrent

Are you sure it is the internal name it complains about?
The site is set up so you can't upload two torrents with the same name.

Re: Can not replace/upload torrent

I'm quite certain that's the error. I tried uploading a .torrent file with a different name, I tried using another torrent title on the website, but still got the same error message containing the internal folder name.

Re: Can not replace/upload torrent

Ok, for now you have to redirect the old one to any torrent and contact me with the torrent number the new download gets.

Re: Can not replace/upload torrent

I redirected the old torrent like you suggested, then uploaded the new one and redirected the old one once again. Seems to be working so far.
Do you still want to know the torrent IDs?

Not if you got it working, was unsure if you could change it yourself
